A 2020 Retrospective

Hi everyone! It’s been a long time since I’ve posted on my blog. How have you all been? I’m sorry for the radio silence.

I’ve mostly been on Facebook, perusing memes. I’ve been working on myself throughout 2020, and hope that all of you are happy, healthy and well.

2020 was a struggle for many, if not all of us. Things were tough for me, too. Writing took a backseat, and I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t know if I was ever gonna be able to get my inspiration back, again. I had to work on my own health–both mental and physical, including a transition–and working on my fitness.

But I’m here to tell you all that I am definitely back, and hopefully better than ever!

Thank you for sticking it out with me so far.

As for some of the emails and messages I’ve gotten over the past few months, I’ll answer a few of them:

I can’t promise any new books in any of my old series as of right now, but I will attempt to get going with them this year! I know many of you are waiting to return to Caer Tarw, or Lykaios. I have plenty of books in the pipeline, I swear it, and some are new titles, and some are even forays back into older worlds.

Until then, just know that there are more books in the Elysian Heights series, more books in the Blanchard Coven series, a couple standalone titles, and a couple new series in the works.

The first title of 2021 is Under His Spell, which is Book 2 of the Blanchard Coven series!

Bennett Landry used to live in a nightmare he thought would go on forever. Battered, broken and abused, the poor young warlock didn’t think that he would ever feel safe again… until the Blanchard coven came and saved him.
Elijah Lillegard was always a hopeless romantic, hiding his romance novels and his sweet side away; picturing a beautiful, idyllic life with his mate by his side–completely under their spell.
Little did they both know, however, that fate had other plans.
Pulled into a mating bond neither one saw coming, Elijah now must contend with his picturesque future being shattered in favor of a mate who still feared every shadow that lurked around every corner. Bennett now has to figure out whether he sees a future for himself within the coven, or if he even sees any kind of future at all.
And when the past still comes back to haunt them both, can their blossoming new bond survive the trials and tribulations that await?

Under His Spell is the second book of the Blanchard Coven series. It is M/M, HEA, dark and moody, and is best enjoyed not as a stand-alone, but after reading the previous book as well!

I love you all dearly, and thank you for riding all of this out with me!

Lovelocked (Elysian Heights One) OUT NOW!

Lovelocked is a rerelease of In Lust, In Love. It’s now out on Kindle Unlimited. You can buy it here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B084C4Q7KZ

Madison Wyler is a lust demon who’s in over his head as a relationship and sex columnist. Having been stuck in a rut for what seems to be forever, his sister gives him the idea to freshen up by doing what he does best: seducing a man to have sex with him. He meets Nolan Cook, a human male who intrigues him, and he finds his so-called prey for the night.

Nolan is broken, however, having just split with his long-time girlfriend. Madison feels an immediate kinship and a connection with Nolan that is as scary as it is instantaneous, but he finds himself going all in to try and help mend Nolan’s broken heart rather than trying to get into his pants.

Nolan is scared. He doesn’t know if he’ll ever love again, and this strange tie that binds him and Madison is too strong, too quick, and it throws his already off-kilter world even more off balance.

What is this love that locks the both of them together, and can they find the meaning of it together?

Lovelocked was originally released as In Lust, In Love, but it has been rewritten, revised, and given a brand-new cover. It is a paranormal romantic comedy at over 43,296 words complete with a sassy landlady, romantic incubi, a HEA, no cliffhangers, and can be enjoyed as a standalone.

beauty killer

So self-obsessed with my mascara and mistakes
Vanity’s like a funeral, and everyone’s at my wake
Before I run out of there, there’s more make-up to apply
So I stare into valium-colored skies

Hi! Thank you for coming to read my musings. I still don’t know what to do with this blog, honestly, but I know that it’s probably going to be something along a stream of consciousness. I’m probably going to write some of my #hot-takes and semi-interesting thoughts while I progress with my manuscripts.

I was supposed to write something here about the value of discipline and the fact that keeping and maintaining a website hasn’t been one of my fortes, but that sounded boring and seemed a lot like I was trying to say something along the lines of, “Hey! Look at me! I’m doing good!” when in reality, I’ve been lazy as heck.

Still, I’m going to do my absolute best to make sure everything is in tip-top shape and is as good as it possibly can be. And here, I’m hoping to share more about my life; my thoughts; all the nice little aspects of keeping a blog! So honestly, really, expect this to be boring. Mostly I sit on my desk, drink water, and tap-tap away at the keyboard, unless I’m playing video games.

If you’re still here with me, then thank you! Awesome! I’ll try not to waste too much of your time.

Lots of love,
Frey
